Introducing the Father Figure 2016

RICHMOND, Va. - Sept. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- First Things First will host our first marquee fundraising event on Saturday, October 8 at Richmond International Raceway's Torque Club.

The Father Figure event will promote our mission to encourage fathers to be active in the lives of their children, raise funds to support our fatherhood initiatives, and honor dads making a difference in their families and the community. The program will include a buffet dinner, silent auction, live music, and an awards ceremony, with NBC12's Curt Autry as the Master of Ceremonies.

All proceeds will go towards First Things First's fatherhood programming including Boot Camp for New Dads and Inside/Out Dad, a program for incarcerated fathers.

First Things First of Greater Richmond is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families through education, collaboration and mobilization. Our three primary focuses are: encouraging healthy marriages; connecting dads with their kids; and teaching youth relationship skills.
