"The Charming Swindler" transcends the boundaries of gender in literature

Jeff Musillo's latest novel offers a 21st-century twist on the concept of the alpha male

ROSWELL, N.M. - Sept. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- If pride comes before the fall, what comes after? Michelkin Publishing, an independent publishing company based in Roswell, NM, announces the release of a new title that answers that question.

"The Charming Swindler", released on September 16, 2016, invites readers to sit down for a drink with main character Eddie Crisp as he waits for his soon-to-be spouse to finish preparing for their Las Vegas wedding.

This adventurous and dramatic story relays the exciting events leading up to the marriage of Eddie, a young, smart and charismatic television producer, and Alex, the love he met while they were both students at the fictional Walphien College. The book takes readers on a wild trip from Oakland, California, through Boston and New York, back to Oakland, and ending in Las Vegas as Eddie and Alex prepare to wed.

Eddie's arrogance and sense of entitlement also serve as central characters in this woeful tale of alcoholism, depression and, ultimately, love. As his own craving and self-worth spin him out of control, Eddie shares what it means to be a 21st-century alpha male just before the novel's ending flips that concept on its head. Readers will be shocked by the final pages of this new adult fiction tale.

The title is currently available exclusively on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle e-book.

"The Charming Swindler" is Jeff Musillo's latest novel coming on the heels of his successful title "The Eternal Echo". Musillo lives in Brooklyn and is a visual artist, screenwriter, director, and actor. He was recently cast in a television pilot titled "Shelter".
