CALGARY, Alberta - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- MPowrx™, a leader in developing innovative health and wellness products, is excited to announce that President & CEO Dr. Nancy Markley has been named the Prairies Regional Award winner for the 2016 Startup Canada Woman Entrepreneur Award, presented by Business Development Bank of Canada.

"I started my company with an entrepreneurial spirit and have worked hard to take it from a local Calgary startup to an international company with sales and distribution in 85+ countries worldwide. The Startup Canada Awards celebrate and distinguish outstanding achievement in advancing Canadian entrepreneurship. The Startup Canada Women Entrepreneur Award is awarded to women entrepreneurs who have impacted Canadian entrepreneurship through exemplary activities and leadership of their companies.

Dr. Markley will be presented with her award on October 25 in Edmonton, Alberta. As a regional winner, she will be pushed forward to the Adjudication Committee to be considered for a national Startup Canada Award.
