QIRT Advantage Platform Achieves Second Successful Completion of SOC 1, Type 2 Examination

FLORAL PARK, N.Y. - Aug. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- For the second consecutive year, QIRT (Quality In Real Time), a quality assurance, coding, compliance and consulting company for the post-acute care industry, has successfully undergone a Service Organizational Control 1, Type 2 examination, known in the industry as SOC 1, Type 2. The examination determined that QIRT has successfully established multiple organizational controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. QIRT received a clean report with zero deficiencies.

The SOC 1, or SSAE 16, standard for rating companies was formed under the AICPA Trust Services Principles and Criteria and it reports on various organizational controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality or privacy. QIRT successfully performed all criteria examined by an independent auditor and was approved for SOC 1, Type 2 based upon examination of QIRT's Electronic Medical Record Audit System, the QIRT Advantage Platform. QIRT successfully demonstrated that necessary security safeguards are in place and are regularly monitored and adjusted over time as needs demand, as per Type 2 guidelines. These higher levels of controls were examined over a period of time under the guidelines established by the AICPA. Agencies working with QIRT can continue to feel confident that security measures are in place and are consistently monitored to adjust to technological changes when they can be foreseen.
