QIRT Receives SOC 2 Type II Attestation
Independent Audit Verifies QIRT's Internal Controls and Processes
By: QIRT (Quality In Real Time)
SOC 2 engagements are based on the AICPA's Trust Services Criteria. SOC 2 service auditor reports focus on a service organization's non-financial reporting controls as they relate to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of a system. KirkpatrickPrice's service auditor report verifies the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of QIRT's controls to meet the standards for these criteria. The SOC 2 Type II audit reports on QIRT's description of controls, as well as the detailed testing of its controls over a minimum six-month period.
"Quality is at the center of everything we strive to deliver to our clients and partners," stated Sid Kosaraju, CEO of QIRT. "Going over and beyond to achieve this SOC 2 Type II attestation demonstrates just one of the many ways by which we seek to assure our clients that when they work with QIRT, they work with the best. Auditing and re-auditing our internal controls ensures that we continue to deliver the highest quality service available. With PDPM taking effect this October 2019 and with PDGM being rolled out to the home care industry January 2020, post-acute provider organizations now more than ever need and want to partner with vendors of QIRT's caliber. We require high-quality processes and attestations such as SOC 2 Type II internally so we can deliver nothing less than high quality externally. I am very proud of our employees for enabling this significant milestone and appreciate what they have done and will continue to do to maintain the highest of quality and security standards."
"The SOC 2 audit is based on the Trust Services Criteria. QIRT has selected the security and availability categories for the basis of their audit," said Joseph Kirkpatrick, President of KirkpatrickPrice. "QIRT delivers trust-based services to their clients, and by communicating the results of this audit, their clients can be assured of their reliance on QIRT's controls."
QIRT was founded in 2006 by our Chairman of the Board Laura Page-Greifinger, BSN, MPA who, thanks to over 30 years of experience as a nurse, supervisor, and clinical consultant, saw the need for QIRT as a third-party provider of multiple types of quality assurance reviews and coding for the home care industry. QIRT has since expanded to service the entire post-acute space with offerings including assessment review, hospice coding and eligibility reviews, QAPI audits, and ADR response.
All post-acute care provider workflow requires quality assurance, education, compliance, and operational strategy within each step of the comprehensive and cyclical process that QIRT calls: Quality Cycle Management (QCM). QIRT has the expertise and assets to support post-acute agencies throughout the quality management cycle.
QIRT employees undergo vigorous vetting prior to hiring and have continued oversight and monitoring monthly to maintain top-notch compliance. The company works 24/7/365 days a year.
In 2017, QIRT was named to the 2017 Inc. 500/5000 List of Fastest-Growing Companies for the fifth consecutive year. Of the thousands of companies who have applied for this distinction, only 7% have made the list five times, placing QIRT on the Inc. 5000 Honor Roll.
