By: Enduring Hearts "We are thrilled about this collaborative relationship with Tyler Hughes Racing and G2 Racing, not only for this Friday's race, but for the remainder of this season's races in August and September," said Patrick Gahan, Founder and Chairman of Enduring Hearts. "Especially exciting is the additional exposure this partnership will bring to the Enduring Hearts organization and our mission." The mission of Atlanta-based Enduring Hearts is to fund important and innovative research to increase the longevity of pediatric heart transplants and improve the quality of life for transplant recipients. The Bully Hill Vineyards100 at Watkins Glen International will be nationally televised 7 p.m. Thursday, August 25, on NBC Sports. Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, recently voted "Best NASCAR Track" by readers of USA Today. This year Hughes is racing for his second season with Paul Green's G2 Racing. Hughes, the 2012 NASCAR Virginia Rookie of the Year, has won three of his last four races with this team in the Whelen All-American Division. About Enduring Hearts Founded in 2013, the mission of Atlanta-based Enduring Hearts has been to fund research that both increases the longevity of pediatric heart transplants and improves the quality of life for transplant recipients. The results of funded research projects contribute to the clinical and scientific knowledge about many important aspects of organ transplantation, e.g., the mechanisms of long-term organ deterioration, the consequences of tissue injury, and opportunities to intervene, postpone, and eliminate these rejection processes. Enduring Hearts also has strategic research co-funding alignments with the American Heart Association and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, and was ranked as a 2015 Top Rated Charity by Great Nonprofits. Since 2013, the non-profit organization has raised $1.9 million for research. For more information, visit http://www.enduringhearts.org.
