Singer/Songwriter and Cabaret Performer, Linda Marks, believes music is magic:  a universal language that bridges all divides and brings us together so we know that we are not alone.  Music has been the lifeblood in Linda's spirit; she started working out melodies at the piano as a toddler and has continued to do so throughout her life. Linda studied music at Yale University, where she co-founded Yale's 3rd women's singing group, Something Extra, as a 17-year old freshman.  She released her first album "Dreams and Themes" in 1983, and "Heart to Heart" last Fall at Scullers.  Recently, Linda performed in a Carole King/Burt Bacharach show at Club Cafe in Boston with Kaoruko Pilkington, and also appeared on "All Things Considered" with Lisa Mullins.  She also wrote "Love Is the Answer" for Upstage Lung Cancer's SingOut! benefit concert this past spring. Linda has performed at many Boston area venues (including Ryles and Amazing Things), at the St. Louis Cabaret Conference and at Crazy Coqs in London.

This special CD release concert for Linda's newest album, Coming Full Circle, will feature the undeniable talents of Doug Hammer on piano, Dave Landoni on bass, Dave Birkin on saxophone and flute, Geoff Wadsworth on saxophone, Miki Matsuki on drums, Junko Fujiwara on cello and duets with 13-year-old singer with the voice of an angel, Claire McFarland.  With her heart to heart style, Linda weaves together a rich tapestry including favorite songs written by Carole King, Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Webb, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Peter Allen, Carole Bayer Sager, Karla Bonoff and Anita Baker, among others, along with her own original songs

Scullers Jazz Club and the Boathouse 400 Restaurant rekindles the magic of the great supper clubs with a Dinner and Show Package that enlivens all of the senses! The 3 course menu features a diverse selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The menu changes seasonally to ensure only the freshest ingredients are used. Add the dinner to your show ticket purchase for only $40.00. Patrons wishing to take advantage of this opportunity will enjoy preferred seating in the club as well as complimentary parking!
