Impro Possum - Drama for self development

AUROVILLE, India - July 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Auroville Retreat initiates an unique program named "Impro Possum" for self development through Improvisation and theatre games, on 8th and 9th October, 2016 . Improvisation is the art of appearing to create something out of nothing. One will build self confidence, and explore different ways of expressing oneself, in a relaxing and playful environment. One will explore and develop important skills such as listening, quick-thinking, risk-taking and self-confidence: skills that will help in one's daily life.

This Drama Retreat is ideal for those who wish to express themselves better, and especially for those working in the corporate environment and wanting to advance in their careers by breaking old patterns of self defeat and low self confidence. No prior experience in theatre or drama is necessary to attend this retreat. One  will eventually learn to build interpersonal skills and take the opportunity to develop creativity, confidence, spontaneity and self expression by engaging one with the environment extrinsically and intrinsically finding one's new vehemence to sustain in life.

This will take place in Auroville, a place of unending education and an experiment in human unity. Auroville has won international acclaim for its efforts in social and environmental sustainability, and has developed innovative techniques in bodywork & healing.

Auroville is an international community with over 2000 people from around 50 different countries.

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday, 8th-9th October.

Day 1: Warm-up activities, partner games, basic scenes with a fair amount of silliness

Day 2: Body position and movement, character development, guessing games and bizarre games.
