Feasty Won Most Creative Award at Alexa Challenge 2016

12 teams and 14 companies took part in the 5 weeks Alexa Challenge to redefine or reinvent the face and future of payments and commerce by using the Amazon Alexa voice-activated technology. And Feasty won the title of Most Creative company.
 
HOUSTON - June 24, 2016 - PRLog -- PYMNTS/Alexa challenge 2016 announced Feasty, a client of Mobisoft Infotech, as one of the winners among the 12 teams and 14 companies which participated in the competition. Feasty bagged the Most Creative award in the Alexa Challenge, 2016.

The challenge was to use Alexa and her voice-activated technology creatively to reinvent the way consumers communicate with their solution providers for payments and financial services.

"This was about solving a real problem or re-imagining a future for a consumer and the ecosystem that surrounds consumers as they look at new ways to conduct commerce, buy things, solve problems and even manage the health care environment," Karen Webster said at the unveiling of the solutions.

"The 2016 PYMNTS/Alexa Challenge pushed the boundaries of what everyone thought Alexa was able to do, as we all learned how powerful she really is," she added.

A client of Mobisoft, Feasty is powered by Zipscene's consumer dining data. Depending on the taste and preference of each consumer, Feasty would be serving access to dining deals to the consumers. The Alexa voice-activated technology is also used for focusing at one common yet a significant issue of the food industry, faced by the consumer: figuring out what to eat.

This is where Zipscene's consumer dining data and Feasty would merge and work together to cater an easy access to dining deals to consumers on the grounds of their personal preferences. So, here comes the transformation where Feasty wants to use the Echo for another task rather than Googling for it.

If the consumer just says something like "Hi Alexa, I am hungry, tell Feasty", she would provide the consumers, a list of different options, fitting up their individual preferences and taste. The list would also count on the climate, day, time of the day, etc.

Hence, the consumer would be able to use intelligent support system through Alexa skill set of voice-activated technology. Alexa, dining data and Feasty merges to provide customers their custom recommendations, which would significantly consider their personal preferences.

"We partnered to create an Alexa skill set that provides consumers with an easy-to-use intelligent support system that each of us makes every day," said Jeff Bickel, Chief Product Officer for Zipscene.

Over a timespan of 5 weeks, people watched the presentations featured in videos and use their veto power by giving their votes on PYMNTS.com.
