Readings can be taken using the simple push button on the Keyboard Gage interface. They can also be taken by depressing a footswitch mechanism (which not included with the product). Readings can also be triggered by hitting the print or send button (or other keys preset by the operator) on the Starrett Gage-Chek interface. This SMartCable Keyboard comes standard as a six foot cable, but to meet your needs, can be custom ordered in whatever length you wish.
