Michelkin Publishing releases first title, 'Fighting Against Gravity'

ROSWELL, N.M. - June 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Michelkin Publishing, an independent publishing company based in Roswell, announced the release of its first title, set to be released on June 25, 2016.

"Fighting Against Gravity" tells the unique coming-of-age story of Londres Leon, a child born on a stormy, chaotic night. The chaos of Londres' life is far from over as he continues to grow up in a small community where he finds it difficult to fit the mold everyone in the small town has set for him. His father's frequent angry outbursts only add to the chaos Londres experiences as he comes to realize his true identity.

This adventurous and dramatic tale of identity crisis, unrequited love, and tragedy packs a surprise ending so unexpected it will shock even the keenest reader.

Roswell author Rutherford Rankin completed the book in mid-March after nearly eight years of work on the story. It is his first book. Rankin is also co-founder and president of Michelkin Publishing.
