Hall of Famer Bruce Garrett Has "Happy Times" as CFO of Emerging WCOBM.COM

LAS VEGAS - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Broadcast and media legend Bruce Garrett is having the time of his life as the Chief Financial Officer of the emerging World Center of Broadcast Media. The Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductee brings a lifetime of knowledge in show business and sales to WCOBM's cutting edge streaming television network.

"The work I am doing at WCOBM is the culmination of everything I have learned and experienced in the broadcast industry," Garrett said. "It's everything that I want to do in life. Media is such a powerful force and we are creating the future with this network."

Garrett began his partnership with WCOBM in May of 2015 after being approached by the network's Owner Gene Woods and General Manager Michelle "Roxy" Davis.

"Michelle and I had a relationship through a radio station that we were a part of and she wanted me to take a look at a project that she and Gene Woods were working on," he said. "When I arrived at WCOBM's studio, I was blown away by the concept and the technology. The software was phenomenal and I was fascinated with the integration of social media and television through video streaming."

"I was working as a media rep for another company at the time, but I just couldn't stop thinking about WCOBM. Within a few weeks, I made a complete transition and joined the network. The partnership that Gene and I agreed upon made good financial sense and we have been working together to build the network ever since."

As the CFO/National Sales Director of WCOBM, Garrett is responsible for many of the day to day activities of the network. In addition to its studio in Las Vegas, the network has recently begun to broadcast in Hollywood, CA and is set to open up in Salt Lake City, Utah in the near future.

"Time moves very fast in this business," Garrett said. "WCOBM is a 24 hour business model and we are in a constant state of transition. Sales is a natural thing for me and I am fortunate to be surrounded by some incredibly talented people. It's an amazing experience."

Garrett's parents were the first African-Americans to own a radio station in Alabama and he has been involved in broadcasting for nearly five decades. He created and produced Shuttledance, a weekly television show and was the host of Nights Over Las Vegas, a music radio show that has received worldwide acclaim. He was inducted into the prestigious Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2013.

Despite the twists and turns of the broadcast industry, Garrett is confident about the future of WCOBM.

"We are light years away from where we are going to be, but this network is setting the standard for streaming television," he said. "WCOBM is the only network in the world that allows you to watch TV on the Internet on different channels. This is history in the making."

The World Center of Broadcast Media is a live streaming television network that entertains with a social media reach of more than 2 million people. Much of the exposure and views that shows on the network receive is based on interaction through social media outlets. Show hosts and guests promote their appearances within their social media networks and viewers can instantly communicate with them during broadcasts by joining chat lines on the network's website.

In addition to their station in Las Vegas, NV, WCOBM also broadcasts shows in Hollywood, CA. Another station in Salt Lake City, UT is scheduled to begin live broadcasting in the near future.
