The Motivation Station Launches on New York's Newest OTT Network ~ BONKO TV
In 1989, Kevin L. McCrudden was one of the hottest media trainers in America in the newspaper and media industry, mainly because he had created the first "media convergence model" in America and stated, "the Internet is the most powerful medium ever created, because it can imitate all other media and they cannot imitate the Internet."
"It seems so funny that a simple model that I put together almost 20 years ago still stands true in the explosively changing media industry," says McCrudden. "The power and versatility of the Internet became apparent to me early on and I was able to translate that into many training initiatives that I have conducted at hundreds of newspaper and media companies all across North America. I don't think anyone at that time could have imagined how mobile devices would change media, but more importantly change the world." he concluded.
Over the past 20 years, McCrudden has gone on to become an international author and speaker with a book that contributes the most significant addition to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in 60 years, six audiobooks and founding National Motivation & Inspiration Day®, which is January 2nd of every year, becoming the only motivational and leadership speaker to ever have a day of recognition passed by The United States Congress and NYS acknowledging the importance of motivation and inspiration in our lives.
Somewhere along this journey he combined these two worlds of media and motivation envisioning a location, a destination that people could go to in order to become motivated and inspired, as well as buy some of the most well-known motivational and inspirational content in the world. The name of the location was going to be simple for people to remember and they would know exactly what to expect, it was going to be called, "The Motivation Station!"
This week, McCrudden is announcing the creation of The Motivation Station on BONKO TV, an Internet-based OTT (over the top) Network. BONKO TV co-founder and Director, Vincent Butta, launched BONKO TV in January of 2016. As a "visionary" in media and Entertainment he could see the growth and opportunity in the creation of an OTT Network which no longer needs to compete and conform to traditional broadcast rules, content curation, and monetization models. BONKO TV offers a variety of revenue streams from ad driven, subscription, and pay per view, all via a unique and sensible a la carte menu and is available on most every OTT and mobile platforms in the market today. "As someone that has been involved in production and distribution of content and media for over 20 years, I could see the change in both the media landscape and the opportunities that OTT was presenting", said Butta. "The vision of BONKO TV is to focus on highly targeted niche and passion group content and deliver that to the audience in any way they want to view it, that is what makes OTT special and the future of media distribution."
As an OTT Network, BONKO TV is similar to Amazon Fire, Hulu, Netflix, Sling TV and other Internet-based programming that can be accessed via the Internet. As traditional television networks like ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX fight for ratings and market share, Internet-driven content continues to explode into a multi-billion dollar industry with no limit in site.
McCrudden is known as "Mr. Motivation" and "America's CMO-Chief Motivation Officer" in his speaking business, because he is founder of National Motivation & Inspiration Day®, creator of The American Motivation Awards™ and his "21st Century Multidimensional Hierarchy of Needs." For a little more than two years, McCrudden and his wife, Alicia Jabbour (McCrudden) have had a weekly radio show called, "Mr. & Mrs. Motivation" where they position as a "relationship show" that provides advice and guidance to other couples. This is the first show to be produced and distributed on TMS ~ The Motivation Station on BONKO TV.
"Kevin and I have provided guidance and advice to a lot of our friends over the years, and I decided to bring up the idea to him a few years ago that there is really no couple on TV that talks openly to other couples about the challenges of being married and addresses their concerns in a motivational and uplifting way, but also from the position of being an actual couple that struggles with a lot of the same challenges that other couples struggle with," said Ali Jabbour, AKA, "Mrs. Motivation."
"There are literally thousands of "motivational speakers" out there and I have always wanted to create a central location where people, parents and young adults could go to get expert advice on how to live a better, more fulfilling life," said McCrudden. "The creation of "The Motivation Station" represents years of work and research to find the right platform that could provide flexibility and the bandwidth to provide a wide range of shows and products for people that are struggling all over the world." he concluded.
