Follow on Google News | World's first adventure novel personalised for schools - a new, healthy, educational fundraiserNew fictional children's novel written especially for students and their schools - where THEY form a central part of the story. School merchandising at its ethical best. Fun, healthy, educational fundraising program for schools in USA and Australia.
Mum of three and school volunteer Melanie Notaras was casting about for a new fundraising idea when she was inspired by her children's school art show to write a novel that would engage children by featuring their own school. Described as a modern, ethical and educational form of school merchandising, Melanie developed the My School Adventure fundraising program, where P&Cs and P&Fs can pre-sell novels that are bulk-personalised for their school. "A lot of fundraisers are very volunteer intensive, or centered around selling unhealthy food products, or plastic gifts you throw out a day later," Melanie Notaras says. "I wanted to create a fundraising program that was really simple and no risk to run, and wasn't just about extracting cash - something fun and meaningful for students, that includes every child regardless of their dietary restrictions or sports ability. Kids read when they have a book they enjoy, and all kids relate to their school - it's such a big part of their life! The Art Show That Came To Life has 22 possible endings, and kids love flipping back and forth to see what happens to them and their teachers on the different story paths. It's not only a worthwhile fundraiser for parents, but great value for money and educational for kids." The Art Show That Came To Life At [Your School Name Here] is only available for purchase online through www.myschooladventure.com. It is adaptable for co-educational and single-sex schools. 124 pages, 40 illustrations and 22 endings.
