2 Different Type Of Shrink Films Widely Used In A Shrink Sleeve Label Project-PVC and PET

Film choices are made based on percentage of shrink needed, desired finish(gloss/matte), application considerations, and so on. Before choosing a film for a project, the shrink label supplier needs to calculate the shrink percentage needed to conform to the container. This is done by determining the smallest diameter in contrast to the widest circumference. It  is reported in percentage of total shrink needed to encompass the cut height of your container. l  PET can be recycled, making it a sustainable film choice

Although the two most widely accepted shrink films used in sleeve labels today are mentioned above, they are not the only choices, there are new specialties and hybrid films being introduced to the shrink market. Such as PETG ,OPS,PLA and so on.
