Fashion Designer Dena Burton to present Collection at Special Needs Network Affair

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - May 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Renowned for her elegant and luxurious designs and recent Los Angeles Fashion Week 2016 favorite, it is no question that Dena Burton would be a perfect match as the featured Designer for the Special Needs Network 8th Annual Pink Pump Affair. The Dena Burton Collection presentation will be a part of the extraordinary celebration of women, where the likes of Athlete and TV Personality Lala Ali, LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, and OBGYN Dr Gail N. Jackson will be honoered. The Master of Ceremonies will be CBS Anchor Pat Harvey.

A native of Chicago, and a graduate of Howard University with a BA in English, and Minor in Radio, Television, and Film Production, Dena relocated to Los Angeles where she began a successful career in film, television, and theatre. Working behind the scenes further fueled her true ambition, which was to design fashionable clothing for women.

With the support of a Karen Kane scholarship, she attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), and the rest, as they say, is fashion history!

A veteran of the fashion industry, Dena successfully launched The Dena Burton Collection in 2008, offering classic one-of-a-kind luxury designs for the confident, accomplished, and discerning jet setter.  Burtons designs have been presented in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami, as well as internationally, in Africa, Jamaica and Fiji.

Special Needs Network is a non-profit organization that was started by Areva Martin.  The purpose of the organization is to provide services and support to underprivileged families impacted by autism.  The proceeds from the Pink Pump Affair are earmarked for Camp JPAC which is SNN's free summer camp for children with autism and their typically developing siblings.   If you want to know more about SNN, please visitt www.snnla.org
