Canvas the Local Art Scene at SpringHill Suites Mission Valley's ArtNight and Ribbon Cutting

SAN DIEGO - May 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Twin Oaks Gallery Art & Frame is pleased to have partnered with Marriott SpringHill Suites, Mission Valley to act as curator of their upcoming ArtNight and Ribbon Cutting Event. The event will be hosted on Thursday, May 19^th from 5:00-7:00pm in the hotel lobby located at 2401 Camino Del Rio N., San Diego, CA.

ArtNight is a nationally recognized, award-winning program designed to give local artists visibility while exposing guests to the local art scene. More than 300 SpringHill Suites properties across the country host their own "evening of inspiration" to celebrate local talent.

"We were honored to have SpringHill Suites express interest in partnering with Twin Oaks Gallery Art & Frame to showcase the art of two of our featured artists, Marilyn Huerta and Maxine Gillilan for this one-night only event. ArtNight is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy local art and to facilitate providing an under-resourced facility with much needed art supplies," said Tonya Lenz, event curator and owner of Twin Oaks Gallery Art & Frame.

The event will include displays of artwork from local artists, a chef demonstration, Interior Design display boards, and several Fashion Design garments from students at The Art Institute of California - San Diego, appetizers and door prizes.  25% of the proceeds from art sales will be donated to benefit the art program at the Boys & Girls Club Encanto Branch. "We focus very heavily on our art program! Three of our pieces from our National Art Exhibit have moved on to the regional competition in Arizona," said Jessica Barajas, Site Supervisor - Boys & Girls Club, Encanto. "I look forward to attending the event with our Director of Strategic Partnerships, Tesha Young and our 2016 Youth of the Year Dallon Emilson, who is also a young and emerging artist."
