Open Studio: Muffins & Mimosa's

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - April 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Carstens Fine Art Studio & Gallery is proud to present their first annual Open Studio: Muffins & Mimosa's showcasing a vast variety of new and older works straight from Carstens studio. These works feature the artist's interest in experimentation and exploration of various styles spanning from realism to the abstract. This Open Studio offers patrons a special opportunity to see the artist's process through studies and her skilled use of multiple mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink, graphite, and mixed media. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity to meet the artist and owner, Cyndy Carstens as she gives you a behind the scenes look at her studio and speaks about her art and thought processes.

Please join Carstens Fine Art Studio & Gallery for Open Studio: Muffins & Mimosa's on Saturday, June 11^th from 10am until 5pm. The artist will be on hand throughout the event to speak about her work, as well as serve complimentary refreshments. Stop in to enjoy muffins and mimosas from 10am-12pm or cookies and tea from 12-4pm and lastly a special wine toast with the Artist at 5pm. Also Carstens will raffle off a painting in support of cancer research for Multiple Myeloma - a charity new and dear to her heart. Cyndy's son fights this horrible cancer everyday. Research for a cure is his best hope for the future.

Cyndy Carstens creates amazing oil paintings exploring expansive spaces, moments of stillness and faith while reinventing portrayals of the southwestern landscape. Carstens uses a broad spectrum of colors blending realism and abstraction, resulting in beautiful and meditative artworks. Her paintings "bring one to focus and reflect on an awareness of ethereal atmospheres and intimate details of nature", states Carstens. Carstens has exhibited her work extensively across the country. Her work is represented at her own gallery, and UGallery, of San Francisco, CA currently represents her work. In addition to creating and selling beautiful art, Carstens is a philanthropist donating a portion of each sale to support several local charities and cancer research.

The Carstens Fine Art Studio & Gallery is located at 7077 E. Main Street #5 in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, AZ. The gallery and studio are open daily.
