Sam Davis Makes Debut At IP54 Bar & Grill

ST. LOUIS - March 11, 2016 - PRLog -- The newest nightclub in the St. Louis area gets a real treat tonight.

Besides the R&B recording artist', KC and JoJo (formerly of Jodeci) performing, this will also be the debut performance of a new artist, Sam Davis.

Raised in Detroit, Michigan; Davis (artist, writer, and producer) was born into a family of music and entertainment. Both his mother (Hari Paris) and grandmother (Lena Gordon) were inducted into the Motown Music Hall of Fame and have both received lifetime achievement awards.

The entertainment olive branch also extends to the late Ed Bradley, first cousin, who served as the first african american White House correspondent to the Jimmy Carter administration and anchor of 60 Minutes for more than 20 years. In addition, his god parents are Eddy Patten and the late William Guest of Gladys Knight and the Pips.

Sam recalls his mother having early morning and late night show rehearsals in the basement of their Detroit home and sneaking down stairs to play each instrument when his mother and band members were away.

As Sam grew older and taller, to his now 6'6" frame, his love for sports steered him into the direction of high school, college, and semi-pro athletics. While attending Cypress College and California Baptist University, Sam was voted the sixth rated shooting guard in the country and number one rated shooting guard in the state of California by College Hoops Magazine in 2004.

In 2013, Sam returned to basketball to play in the ABA with the Motor City Firebirds which are now known as the Flint Chargers.

Needless to say, his passion for and return to music was eminent. In 2015, Sam joined production forces with CMA of West New York; a music publishing partner with Kobalt Music Group whose roster consists of the likes of Lionel Richie, Busta Rhymes, Kelly Clarkson, and LMFAO just to name a few.

When manager Jonathon Kinloch; whose management background consists of High Five, Tony Thompson, and currently producer and DJ Arab Muzik; was asked about Sam's musical aptitude he simply replied "he writes the music, he sings the music, he produces the music, he can do it all."

Thus we expect that Sam will continue to carry on the family tradition proudly and successfully for years to come!
