LANSING, Mich. - March 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Michigan’s motion picture company Collective Development Inc. is moving forward with the second film in the QUEST TRILOGY. All three biblical era dramas deal with lesser-known biblical events and have common themes throughout. The trilogy is being distributed worldwide by Lightworx Entertainment, headed up by Randy Maricle one of the marketers behind the hit “God’s Not Dead”.

The first film “40 Nights” which focuses on pre-ministry Jesus (DJ Perry) traveling into the wilderness starts playing select theaters this month and will start releasing to retailers on April 5th, 2016.

The second film in the trilogy is “Chasing the Star” and focuses on the quest of the magi seeking the newly born Messiah. The film starts shooting in March 2016 and the three magi have been cast.

Playing the role of the elder magi Melchior is Garry Nation. Garry made his film debut as Rabbi Meir in Indescribable (Thorn Crown Project, 2013). Soon after he was cast in the title role in Polycarp (Henline Productions, 2015), for which he won an award for Best Actor (International Christian Film Festival).

They have cast Randy Spence as the stargazing magi Balthazar.  Spence is a professional juggler and drag racer known for his powerful work in movies such as “Sand Castles,” “Circle of Fury,” and “A Proper Violence”.

Bello Pizzimenti will portray the third traveling magi Gasper. He is a Detroit native now living in New York City. He previously co-starred in the inspirational crime drama “Ashes of Eden” produced by Collective Development Incorporated in association with New House Entertainment and Ahptic Productions.

The film will shoot in Arizona and Michigan with Bret Miller directing. It is slated for a limited theatrical in the fall before releasing worldwide on home video leading up to Christmas 2016.
