Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ to Host First Event of 2016 at Port City Brewing Company April 27

March 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Laurel, MD - Black Bag Productions and Marie Crawford's Bridal, will host its first Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ of 2016 on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30pm at the award winning Port City Brewing Company ("PCBC") in Alexandria, Virginia. “Selecting the right location for our return to the wedding scene to kick off Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ was a key factor for us and Laura Hammond of PCBC has been phenomenal to work with on this,” notes Kim Moss, owner of Black Bag Productions. “The best part is we are showcasing a unique venue for wedding related events and often times these are spaces that are overlooked,which is why we are thrilled to have them as our first host location for 2016,” says Marie Crawford, owner of Marie Crawford's Bridal.

Port City Brewing will be hosting us in their beer garden, which will give attendees ideas for their wedding related events like rehearsal dinners, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and engagement parties, even reception after parties. "The Beer Garden is a favorite space for our customers an open air feel with a view of our production facility makes it a fun and entertaining space and is located just outside our tasting room," notes Laura Hammond, Event Manager for PCBC.  Brides have an excellent opportunity during the party to get special deals and gifts from the participating vendors only available at the event. Moss and Crawford, both of whom are certified wedding planners, agreed that there had to be a better way for brides and vendors to connect, noting “the plan that we have developed is a more relaxed atmosphere, food tasting, cocktails, prizes and wedding planning with wedding professionals that are not out to gouge their prospective clients.”  They went on to say that, “the Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ aims to change the paradigm by offering brides the opportunity to plan, taste, drink, shop and genuinely have fun while planning their big day. The vendors have the opportunity to chat with prospective clients in a more relaxed setting and not give a canned presentation and they genuinely have fun too since they don’t bring the whole store with them, only their portfolio and maybe a few other items.  The tag line of Simple. Relaxing, Fun, was what we envisioned brides and vendors being able to do at the event. In 2013 and 2014, the parties were very successful, with more vendors contacting us each week and asking how they can join the fun and the grooms who attended are not looking like they wish they were somewhere else, anywhere else!" says Crawford.  Moss, who hosts an online radio show on Blog Talk Radio, broadcasts the show live from the event and interviews the venue host as well as the vendors and some attendees.  "Its really a great opportunity for vendors to get advertising for their business since we keep the episode of the show available on our show page and on our mobile app indefinitely," says Moss who has been on Blog Talk Radio since 2009.

Port City Brewing is the longest operating packing brewery in Washington DC. Opening their doors in 2011, they currently produce 14,000 barrels per year. Their beers have won over numerous medals at local and national beer competitions.  "At the 2015 Great American Beer Festival Port City was named the Best Small Brewery in the Country, and we are honored that they will be helping us kick off the 2016 wedding season with this event," said Moss who toured the facility and couldn't wait to bring the event there.

Admission is complimentary,but will feature a cash bar and each attendee will receive a special bridal swag bag filled with coupons and other wedding related gifts.
