Programmers, veterans, and healthcare professionals formed teams and created solutions to improve access to care for veterans faced with mTBI and PTSD, at hackathon events in Austin and San Francisco, and presented by MyVA Partnerships, the VA Center for Innovation, Booz Allen Hamilton, Vets in Tech, Capital Factory (Austin), and Galvanize (San Francisco).
An expert panel of leading VA and industry experts in mTBI and PTSD along with Veterans and caregivers judged pitch presentations from nine teams in Austin. Home, an online marketplace to match veterans with health and other critical resources was selected as the winning solution.
The Home team has been invited to showcase their innovation at the April 20-21, 2016 Brain Trust Innovation Showcase in Washington, DC.
