Follow on Google News | Heritage Group of Institutions observes the Entrepreneurship Week with NENThe Entrepreneurship Week was inaugurated by one of the leading Entrepreneurs of the country, Shri H. K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Kalyan Bharti Trust and Chairman, Vikram Group of Industries on February 20, 2016.
By: www.hbs.edu.in The Inaugural Session was followed by a talk on “Entrepreneurial Skills” by Shri Abhishek Rungta and “Choice between Employment and Entrepreneurship” ex-student of 2008 batch of HBS. Showcasing the Entrepreneurial Talent in the Heritage Group of Institutions, a total of 60 stalls have been put up by students. The stalls showcase the innovative skills and Entrepreneurial abilities of the students in diverse areas ranging from exotic new eatables to remote controlled device for controlling lights and fans. There is a stall on Ayurvedic soap manufactured by students and a large number of novel entrepreneurship ideas based on handicraft and papercraft. In addition to these stalls, there is a Business Plan Competition in which 12 teams from different Institutes are expected to participate. A number of celebrity entrepreneurs are expected to visit during E-Week. These include Ms. Reshmi Chatterjee of Halo Heritage, Mr. S. Mukherjee of RENE, Mr. B. K. Mukherjee of Chemicals India, Ms. Sharbari Datta - internationally acclaimed Designer, Mr. Aman from Bangladesh – Film Artist and renowned entrepreneur, Ms. Chumki Chatterjee, Patrabharati Publications, Ms. Shimanti Das, Managing Trustee of Schools of the World, Kolkata and running a free school Joyjeet Das Memorial School. The judges for the B-Plan Contest will be Dr. Sharmishta Banerjee, Professor, Business Management, Calcutta University and Mr. P. K. Deb, Deputy General Manager, SBI. CSR activities were in the form of a group collecting old clothes, books and other articles of utility and distributing them amongst the needy. One group of students have decided to plough back a part of their profit for conducting several competitions like Sit & Draw, Painting among students of Surya Kiran – a charitable School run by Kalyan Bharti Trust for the economically weak students in Anandapur area. There are several Awards under different Categories to be awarded by NEN at the Eastern Region Awards Ceremony to be held in the Heritage Campus on March 5, 2016 End
