Wee Forest Folk® Introduces a Third Generation Sculptor

CARLISLE, Mass. - Jan. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Wee Forest Folk^® is delighted to announce the introduction of Bonnie Petersen…Annette’s 28-year old granddaughter and Willy’s daughter, in joining the ranks of the family business as a third generation artist. Bonnie’s debut collection, done in collaboration with her father, celebrate all the festive style and handmade tradition of Wee Forest Folk, with the added freshness of a new designing generation. All are new for Valentine’s Day 2016 and in limited editions.

Bonnie’s first line of mouse sculptures, Confection Collection, is presented in time for this Valentine’s Day. The collection includes six tiny mice that may be purchased together or separately and make a whimsical, thoughtful and sweet gift for a loved one. Each holds a heart with funny little words of endearment similar to little candies. All are presented in limited numbered editions of either 300 or 400 sculptures.

Wee Forest Folk is a small family business that delights in producing a line of miniatures - most of which are mice!  Annette Petersen crafted her first little critter in 1972. Since then her children have learned the ways of the mice and have created their own. Each miniature is hand cast from an original piece that has been sculpted by hand in clay by Annette, Willy, his sister Donna and now Bonnie. Talented artists are carefully selected for their delicate hand skills and meticulous painting brings each little mouse to life. An enormous amount of time and patience is invested in producing the line. Everyone involved takes personal pride in assuring the quality of each piece as it progresses through the many steps along the way to completion.
