Follow on Google News | Wee Forest Folk® Introduces a Third Generation SculptorAfter 44 years, a new Petersen family member learns the ways of the mouse!
Bonnie’s first line of mouse sculptures, Confection Collection, is presented in time for this Valentine’s Day. The collection includes six tiny mice that may be purchased together or separately and make a whimsical, thoughtful and sweet gift for a loved one. Each holds a heart with funny little words of endearment similar to little candies. All are presented in limited numbered editions of either 300 or 400 sculptures. Wee Forest Folk enthusiasts will tell you their many reasons for purchasing these mouse miniatures. Not only that they are handmade and hand painted with great detail, it is their tiny sweetness and humor that are most appealing. Its owner treasures these tiny works of art for years to come. Unlike most figurines that are manufactured overseas by the thousands, Wee Forest Folk is finely handcrafted in the USA in limited quantities. Wee Forest Folk can be found at fine gift stores and galleries across the U.S. They are also available online through authorized retailers. A complete list can be found on http://www.weeforestfolk.com by clicking on the Store Locator tab. Wee Forest Folk is a small family business that delights in producing a line of miniatures - most of which are mice! Annette Petersen crafted her first little critter in 1972. Since then her children have learned the ways of the mice and have created their own. Each miniature is hand cast from an original piece that has been sculpted by hand in clay by Annette, Willy, his sister Donna and now Bonnie. Talented artists are carefully selected for their delicate hand skills and meticulous painting brings each little mouse to life. An enormous amount of time and patience is invested in producing the line. Everyone involved takes personal pride in assuring the quality of each piece as it progresses through the many steps along the way to completion. More than just a little mouse figurine, each one is a true miniature work of art! Wee Forest Folk miniatures are created, produced and copyrighted by the Petersen family and are made entirely in Carlisle, Massachusetts, USA. End
