By: AskDrNed.com For those who haven't had a migraine it's a headaches with some unique symptoms. Some of the most common migraine symptoms are nausea, blurring of vision, ringing in the ears, dizziness and sensitivity to light. Migraines also often have an auora where the person will notice what I call a pre migraine. It's a set of symptoms and "feelings" that precede the actual migraine. It's a signal to the person that the migraine is about to attack. It is estimated that 15% of the general population experiences migraine headaches. Most migraine sufferers manage their headaches with a combination of prescription, over the counter and self care medications. It should be noted that none of these attempt to correct, fix, restore, or otherwise eliminate migraine headaches. At best they seek to lessen the suffering of those who experience these kinds of headaches. Sometimes that's the best that can be done . . . What causes a migraine headache (https://en.wikipedia.org/ one that science hasn't answered very well. You see, every few years science will come out with a new theory based on the latest research. This is how it happens. Imagine being in a large forest. Picture all the different kinds of trees and plants, rocks, dirt, wildlife. lakes, rivers. Now imagine picking up one fallen leaf and examining it with a magnifying glass. Then you're asked to describe what you've discovered about forests. That's what science frequently does, at least in health care research. So what you've learned is accurate and truthful, but it doesn't really teach us, the average american, anything about forests. So what causes migraines? I'm not sure I can answer definitively. Here's what I do know what the midbrain (which is a part of the brain stem) is over active, this disrupts blood flow in the brain which causes constriction and dilation of blood vessels. There are several plausible explanations for why this process causes head pain and all it's associated symptoms. So regardless of the details that actually cause the pain, I've discovered a way to slow the midbrain which promotes normal blood flow in the brain and no migraine.
