SEM Link’s partners with OakLabs to host Digital Design and Laser Cutting Workshop for Educators

OAKLAND, Calif. - Jan. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- SEM Link’s Math and Science Career Academy is partnering with OakLabs to host a Digital Design and Laser Cutting/Engraving Workshop Series for Educators. The workshop will take place on Saturday, January 30,2016 from 11:00 am-5:00 pm. The workshops will take place at OakLabs located at 1721 Broadway in Oakland.  Attendee can look forward to learning the basics concepts of digital design, laser engraving and project development. Educators will also leave the workshop with ideas for project based activities to do with their students. The cost of the workshop is $50 per person and $65 per person with lunch included. In this rapidly changing world, we have to ensure that our children are prepared to compete in the global economy. Digital Design and Laser Cutting/Engraving provides students with an interdisciplinary educational experience where they can develop academic skills as well as 21^st Century Learning skills such as critical thinking, creativity and information and communication technology literacy.
