CHARLESTON, S.C. - Dec. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The Fertility Center of Charleston and Dr. Stephanie Singleton highlight the top four frequently asked questions regarding fertility and provide answers for those considering fertility treatment.

“I don’t know if I can afford it…” The Fertility Center of Charleston offers medication savings plans and a financial counselor that will walk patients through all the affordable options.  One option for patients is the IVF Refund Program.  The Fertility Center of Charleston’s IVF Refund Program offers patients that qualify a savings of approximately 20% for two treatment cycles and a partial refund if the fertility treatment is unsuccessful. It is proven that multiple treatment cycles increase chances of pregnancy. The refund program includes one fresh and one frozen treatment cycle. (Medication and anesthesia are not included.)

“Will this be a long, hard process?” 40% of patients uncover the mystery of infertility without needed IVF.   Infertility is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Women and men find the root cause of infertility in a fertility evaluation. There are many causes of infertility that a timely evaluation help pinpoint. Fertility treatment options are effective and vary based on the individual. A fertility evaluation is critical to providing good information for the selection of optimal therapy.

“Will I like the doctor?” Interview and find the best fit. The Fertility Center of Charleston offers free second opinions.  Dr. Stephanie Singleton, FACOG is board certified in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and in obstetrics and gynecology. She specializes in invitro fertilization therapy, polycystic ovarian syndrome, amenorrhea, and male factor infertility.   Dr. Singleton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Presbyterian College of Clinton, South Carolina as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, Atlanta, Georgia. “Maybe we should try for one more month…”Age is the number one challenge in infertility. It is recommended that couples schedule a consultation with a fertility specialist after trying for six months to conceive with no success.
