Something to Chew On Presents Paw it Forward Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Nov. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Something to Chew On Radio is excited to announce the 2nd annual Paw it Forward Las Vegas at Smarty Paws Canine Coaching (4544 West Russell Road) on November 15, 2015. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas.

Paw it Forward was created to honor a very special service dog named Pele who passed away in April of 2014. Not only was he a faithful companion for his owner Kelly, he also brought joy to the sick, helped children learn to read, and rehabilitated abused animals, helping them become more confident and adoptable. His special energy became known as "Pele Power" to everyone who knew him. "Pele touched the lives of all those around him. His passing was devastating to all of us. Paw it Forward allows us to keep his memory alive while raising much needed funds for the life saving programs at Hearts Alive Village," said Sheryl Greenblatt, founder of Paw it Forward.

Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. Through a variety of programs such as Kendall's Kupboard (a pet food pantry), and Solutions over Surrenders which gives pet owners access to resources like training, financial assistance, and more, Hearts Alive aims to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible. They also provide Humane Education to youth groups throughout the valley, veteran's services, and transitional housing for a domestic abuse survivor. In June of 2015, they opened an adoption center where potential families can meet rescued animals currently in foster homes, and a pet supply store so that the organization can eventually be self sustaining.

Something to Chew on is a weekly radio show on Vegas All Net Radio covering pet parenting, pet rescue, and everything in between. The show is designed to help people become better parents for their own animals, and to inspire listeners to get involved in animal rescue. Paw it Forward is a fun filled day for people and pets of all ages. The event will feature music by Community Productions, Musical Paws with Kyle Ashmore, micro-chipping by West Charleston Animal Hospital, dog photography by Go Dog Photo, Bows and Toes by Angel Tails Dog Grooming, Barks and Crafts, event photography by TFG Photography and Confess Media, human food by Raising Cane's, Villa Pizza, Jamba Juice, and Pepsi, dog treats, a Silent "Pawction" and Mega Raffle.
