Local YA Author Sara Daniell to Speak at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington, WI
How Sara received her invitation is an interesting story and the saying “it’s a small world” really does apply. Kylie, an eighth grader at Thomas Jefferson, read Ms. Daniell’s book A Life Unexpected and loved it. She also noticed the author lived in the Wisconsin area. So she did what any teenager would do. She asked her English teacher, Ms. Dekker, to invite Ms. Daniell to visit the school.
“I’m so excited and thrilled about this opportunity,”
“To be able to share how I create my stories with the same people I write them for is an amazing opportunity,”
Ms. Daniell, also a teacher in another district, will be discussing writing inspiration, strategies, the process, as well as other writing topics. She also has a fun creative writing activity planned to spark the students’ imagination.
