OAKLAND, Calif. - Oct. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- SEM Link’s Math and Science Career Academy celebrates, National Chemistry Week (http://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/education/outreach/ncw.html), which is a program the American Chemical Society to promote the value of chemistry in everyday life. Every year we celebrate National Chemistry Week by sending our staff and volunteers to classrooms to conduct hands on chemistry activities. This year SEM Link is taking the celebration to social media. Our World of Science Wednesday  ( #WOSWednesday ) post on October 14th and October 21st will have videos of chemistry experiments. We are encouraging parents, educators and STEM professionals that will be doing hands on chemistry experiments to share photos or videos with us by tagging us on Instagram or Twitter at @semlink using the hashtag #SEMLinkNCW. Photos and videos can also be emailed to SEM Link at info@semsuccess.org with the subject SEM Link NCW, and we will post them on our social media outlets.

“National Chemistry Week is a great time to expose youth to chemistry by engaging them in hands on chemistry activities. As a chemical engineer, I’m always looking forward to this STEM themed week and being able to teach and reinforce chemistry concepts with kids.” Said Ms. Tokiwa T. Smith, SEM Link Founder and Executive Director. Individuals that would like to provide financial support for SEM Link’s Chemistry Week Celebration can do so by making their tax-deductible contribution to SEM Link’s “Donate Your Lunch Money” Individual Donor Campaign via our website, www.semsuccess.org.
