Brand New Year/Same Great Show for Carlisle Events in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Oct. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- It seems just like yesterday that Carlisle Events launched 2015 with Auto Mania at the Allentown Fairgrounds in eastern Pennsylvania.  Now, nearly 10 months later, the staff of the world’s largest automotive events promoter is preparing to start its 2016 season with Auto Mania, an event that’s been up and running since 1990.  Auto Mania 2016 runs January 15-17 and is easily Pennsylvania’s largest indoor heated swap meet.  This event draws thousands, packs Ag Hall at the fairgrounds, has a waiting list for vendors looking to show and sell and sells out annually.  Guests trekking to Allentown can not only experience the swap meet (automotive parts and memorabilia for sale), there is a bit of a car corral aspect to it too (classic cars for sale).

For as much as the cars draw in the people for an exciting three day event, another popular draw is the neighboring farmers market, held across the lot from Ag Hall.  The market runs Friday and Saturday of the show (January 15-16) and has as much variety food wise as the auto event does car parts.  Just like there is something for everyone within Ag Hall for Auto Mania, there is a wide array of fare offered by local and regional farmers, including baked goods, fruits, veggies and more.

But enough about the tasty treats, let’s re-focus on the car themed fun.  Auto Mania has been packing the 59,000 square foot building for decades and has seen continued growth, including a record year in 2015.  The size of the show is such that it’s expanded outdoors and while it’s an all-weather event in January, those spaces continue to sell and the demand for more increase annually too.  Coming to the event guarantees a great time with like minded folks, a vast shopping experience for car and truck parts; new and old, plus the thrill of the hunt with many hidden gems available from the eclectic mix of vendors.

There are also a limited amount of cars for sale by owner.  A few dozen classics can be found within the vending spaces and person to person deals are easy to accomplish with the laid back nature of this event.   Some cars are available within the building, while others are outside the building.  Given the all weather nature of Auto Mania, vendors sign up to bring the car and parts knowing as much, however for multiple years running the weekend continues to sell out and grow.

Finally, the best part of the show is the ease and convenience of finding it.  The Allentown Fairgrounds are less than two hours from New York City, Philadelphia and Scranton with major roads like I-78, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 22 all nearby.  In addition, because of its location on the fairgrounds property, ample FREE parking is available.
