By: Velvet Ice Cream
The Central Ohio Chocolate Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at HeritageHallSeniorCenter, 1058 E. Main St. in Newark. General admission is $10, or $7 for seniors, children and members of a group of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased at Heritage Hall, TrueCore Federal Credit Union locations, Ross Granville Market or at the door the day of the event.
“We are so grateful to have all of the best area vendors and bakeries helping bring together our community,” said Bonnie Morton, community outreach director for the Licking County Aging Program. “What better way to support our aging population than by coming together over great chocolates and desserts while benefiting a wonderful program?”
The Central Ohio Chocolate Festival will host some two dozen vendors, including Velvet Ice Cream, a local ice cream manufacturer and active supporter of the area community for more than 101 years. Velvet will be serving its mouthwatering Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream. Other participating artisans include: Double Tree Hotel, serving their famous cookies; Granville Whoopie Pies, Ila’s Popcorn, Xocai Chocolate, and many more!
The price of admission entitles guests to samples from five of the vendors, and a chance to win any of a number of great door prizes. Guests are also able to purchase delectable chocolate treats and desserts beyond the five included in admission. Additional sampling tickets are for purchase at the event, 2 for $1.
