By: the monOrchid “Architectural Explorations is an intriguing exhibition, offering the viewer a unique perspective on various architectural masterpieces highlighting the pure beauty of their design”, says Shade Projects Curator, Nicole Royse. Klein’s keen eye for detail is impeccable, capturing stunning locations, bold lines, and excellent lighting within each of his photographs that are sure to captivate his viewer’s. “I've always been inspired by architecture, I do love to find and photograph the aesthetic beauty in architectural design, especially abstract forms”, states Klein. When asked why black and white photography Klein says, “it is versatile with a timeless look, the fact that reality can be presented this way, something different, dramatic and nostalgic.” Klein studied photography in college and has now had a successful career as a photographer for over 26 years utilizing silver halide and digital processes to create his signature monochromatic imagery. He has exhibited his work at several galleries throughout the valley most recently at ASU Vault Gallery, Artlink’s Annual Juried Exhibition at Ice House, and Drive-Thru Gallery. Klein’s photography has also been featured in local publications including AZ Foothills Magazine and Phoenix New Times. The Opening Reception for Architectural Explorations will be held on First Friday, November 6th from 6-10pm with the artist in attendance. The Closing Reception will be held on Third Thursday, November 19th from 6-10pm featuring an intimate evening with the artist, amazing artwork and much more. Architectural Explorations will be on display in Bokeh Gallery at the monOrchid from November 6th until November 28th, 2015. The monOrchid is located at 214 E. Roosevelt Street in the heart of Phoenix's downtown Roosevelt Row Arts District. The building is open daily and the exhibition may be viewed during business hours.
