NEW YORK - Sept. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- “State Farm has been a consistent corporate partner in our work to financially educate children. We appreciate their generous contribution and the volunteerism of their employees and agents. State Farm clearly embraces the urgency of financial education and the need to support our 10year non-profit organization,” shares WorldofMoney.org CEO Sabrina Lamb. “Taught by a State Farm agent, our curriculum includes a safe teen driving course”.

“State Farm is proud to support the World of Money Youth Financial Education Training Institute. It is a pleasure to partner in the communities on positive change.” saysNaomi T. Johnson, State Farm Public Affairs-New York Community Relations.

Founded in 2005, the WorldofMoney.org, a New York City based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has empowered over 3,000 students. Our mission is to empower youth with a sound financial foundation. Now more than ever this organization is needed to break a generational cycle and to change the way youth, Young Moguls (ages 7 - 9); Rising Moguls (ages 10 - 12) and Moguls (ages 13 - 18), view money by equipping them with five tenets for a financially responsible and philanthropic life: learn, earn, save, invest and donate. The organization was selected as a Promise Place by America's Promise Alliance and by AOL Impact as one of ten top social good organizations in America. Having these basic financial planning tools encourages youth to become family team players, maximize their longer-term financial well-being and to balance consumer and investor behaviours. The curriculum includes basic Mandarin Chinese, Excel, community service and year round alumni activities, including a Parent "Money Matters' Forum. In 2013 and 2014, parents and students toured mainland China and Hong Kong. In 2015, students will tour South Africa.

In August 2014, the July Youth Financial Institute graduated 172 youth in an impressive ceremony at Riverside Church. With concerted marketing efforts, the organization is determined to increase the number of youth it educates. Parents, from as far away as Texas and Florida, have registered their children in the New York-based Institute. CEO Sabrina Lamb adds, “Our dedicated corporate partnership with State Farm, helps us to empower youth by emphasizing academic success and changing the legacy of family financial instability and poverty. And we urge all youth and their parents to join us in this movement.”
