By: Reprieve Spiritual WellenessCenter According to everyday health dot com, Some studies have suggested a link between stress and the development of breast and ovarian cancer. In one study, researchers found that the risk of breast cancer was increased by 62 percent in women who had experienced more than one highly stressful life event, like divorce or the death of a spouse. Hendricks, a breast cancer survivor knows what the importance of not letting stress, overcome you when you are healing. She was on medication for five years during her bout with breast cancer. She explained, “Making time for relaxation was vital to me overcoming breast cancer. I am so blessed to have survived, at first I didn’t want to talk about it. Then I thought maybe God allowed me to heal from cancer, so I could share my testimony and encourage other women to get mammograms and go to the doctor for regular breast examines. When breast cancer is caught early you can beat it.” Hendricks states, “When God gave me the vision for Reprieve he showed me that it was to be a place for women, especially a respite for women who have had trauma experience, death of a loved, cancer, domestic violence. We also have space rental for small gatherings. Come by and visit Reprieve” Several groups are already taking advantage of the beautiful serene environment at Reprieve. Membership is tax deductible.
