By: Cybervation Columbus Business First’s Corporate Caring Awards Program honors for-profit companies for their financial contributions, volunteer service and other unique contributions to Columbus' charities and nonprofit organizations. Only 13 companies out of 138 nominations were selected to receive the prestigious award this year. Purba Majumder, owner and president of Cybervation, worked with the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center and the city of Dublin to launch CoolTechGirls in 2013. The nonprofit offers girls in fourth through 12th grades opportunities to learn about various STEM jobs and topics ranging from robotics, WordPress to social media, while interacting with female professionals in those industries. “Cybervation is so honored to receive the Corporate Caring Award,” said Majumder. “My daughter was the catalyst for me to launch CoolTechGirls. I wanted to encourage her interest in STEM subjects and show her there are other girls who share that interest. It’s since grown far beyond my expectations with over 400 girls participating in our events till date. We look forward to continued growth so we can introduce even more young women to these rewarding career paths. ” For more information on CoolTechGirls, visit www.cooltechgirls.org or email info@cooltechgirls.org.
