Flutie Foundation Website Launch
BOSTON - July 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Boston Interactive, a digital marketing agency, is proud to announce the launch of the redesigned Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism website, www.flutiefoundation.org. The foundation’s primary goal is to promote awareness and support families affected by autism spectrum disorders.

The foundation was established in 1998 by former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, in honor of their son, Doug, Jr. who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Originally, Flutie’s mission was to support children affected by autism. Since the foundation’s establishment, Doug Jr. has grown up and the Flutie family noticed a lack of programming for adults with autism. The foundation now helps not only children and families affected by autism, but it fills the gap between adolescence and adulthood and helps to provide infrastructure for adults living with autism. This change in focus sparked the need for a website redesign. The new website design reflects the growth of the organization and now appeals to all age ranges.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation and help promote autism awareness and support,” said Boston Interactive CEO Chuck Murphy, “The new website is a great reflection of the foundation’s growth since our last website redesign with them in 2012.”

The new website features large imagery to promote the foundation’s various events and a new blog that acts as a resource for families and parents of children with autism. The responsive website was built using Drupal to enable the Flutie team to easily facilitate updates and was integrated with donation form software to ensure safe and secure fundraising.

“Ceri and the Boston Interactive team did a wonderful job helping us redesign our website so that it aligns with our new strategic plan,” said Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation’s Executive Director Lisa Borges.  “They held our hands every step of the way and were very patient with us as we worked through the process with limited staff.  We are very pleased with the end result and are grateful for their continued support through the transition.”
