By: iScot magazine In an exclusive interview with iScot magazine the 30-year-old BAFTA nominee talks about recruiting Blade Runner star Rutger Hauer to appear in the hotly anticipated romantic comedy Journey Bound. Hauer is among a number of well known names, including Clare Grogan from Gregory's Girl; former Dr Who and star of The Hobbit, Sylvester McCoy and comedian Ford Kiernan to join the cast of the movie. However, one of the biggest stars of the production, which is due to start filming early next year, will be the landscape of Scotland. The country was recently named the Best Cinematic Destination in the world by an online poll run by USA Today. Scotland came out top, beating Petra in Jordan, as seen in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and New Zealand, which features in The Lord of the Rings movies. Details of the production and more about Ryan's mission to help promote the expanding Scottish movie industry can be found in the July issue of iScot magazine. iScot is an independent magazine promoting the best of Scotland to a world-wide audience.
