SKIET Announces Scholarship Scheme Test (SSST) and Percentage Incentive Scheme

KURUKSHETRA, India - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Shri Krishan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Haryana, has launched a scholarship scheme called the SKIET Scholarship Scheme (SSS). The scholarship has been introduced to promote Engineering, Diploma and Management education among students. The scheme  is meant for students who are looking for direct admission in Engineering (B.Tech) or Diploma, and for those who score 50% or more in the screening test. The scholarship is including the rebate given to students, according to the percentage obtained by them in their 10th and 12th examination.

About SKIET Scholarship Scheme Test (SSST)

The test is organized every year in June and July, for students looking for admission in B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA and Diploma. There is no fee required to be given for the tests. The scholarship scheme and the fee waiver in the first semester, according to the percentage of marks in Test scholarship, is mentioned below:

1. 90% & above = 100%
2. 80 to 89% = 90%
3. 70 to 79% = 80%
4. 60 & 69% = 70%
5. 50th to 59% = 60%

The question paper, consisting of 50 questions, have to be attempted in one hour. The questions are allocated as under:

For B. Tech / M.Tech/ Diploma:

1. Logic Test - 10 questions
2. General Knowledge - 10 Questions
3. Physics - 10 Questions
4. Chemistry - 10 Questions
5. Maths - 10 Questions

For MBA / BBA:

1. Logic Test - 15 Questions
2. General Knowledge - 15 Questions
3. Physics - 20 Simple maths

The questions are of 10+2 level for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and BBA, and of 10th level for Diploma.

The test will be conducted in the State of Haryana, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Nepal and Jharkhand. Following are the cities where the tests are organized:

Percentage Incentive Given to Students:

All students are given incentive according to the marks obtained by them. For example, students who score 100% marks in their 10+2, will be given 100% tuition fee waiver in the 1st semester. In the same way students scoring 60% marks, will be given the same percentage of tuition fee waiver in the 1st semester. Girl students are entitled for 100% fee waiver in the 2nd semester, regardless of the marks they get.

All students seeking direct admission in the institute, get the above mentioned fee waiver, whether they appear for SSST or not. And, those who get positions in SSST will get the scholarship along with the marks incentive, at the time of seeking admission.
