LOS ANGELES - June 29, 2015 - PRLog -- BentleyForbes’ founder C. Frederick Wehba has a strong commitment to philanthropic and humanitarian efforts over the years, and his generosity along with his wife, Susan, was acknowledged by California Baptist University with its “Spirit of Philanthropy” Award.

“This award is especially meaningful because I previously was chair of the business affairs committee for the California Baptist University Board of Trustees,” said Wehba, who also supports the Boy Scouts of America, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, the Dove Foundation, and UNICEF.

The fundraising event during the 2004 awards ceremony benefitted the CBU Scholarship Fund, raising $181,000 for prospective students, including academic, athletic, drama, music, engineering, and visual art scholarships. The gala was held in the Eugene and Billie Yeager Center and featured a silent auction, lavish dinner, and entertainment by the legendary Frankie Avalon.
