Boy Scouts of America helped prepare BentleyForbes founder for business success

LOS ANGELES - July 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Real estate mogul C. Frederick Wehba participated in the Boy Scouts of America as a child, eventually becoming an Eagle Scout. As an adult, he has been a long-term member of the organization’s board of directors.

Wehba said the time he spent as a Scout helped prepare him to become the chairman of BentleyForbes, a commercial real estate investment company with more than $3.5 billion in acquired properties.

         “The Boy Scouts of America has played an extraordinarily important role in my life, and I am proud to say that my Scout experience helped shape me into the man I am today,” Wehba said. “One of the most important lessons I learned as a Scout was how to be a true team player. How valuable to have that experience as a youth, well before my career started!”

About 2.5 million youth members between the ages of 7 and 21 and about 960,000 volunteers participate in Boy Scouts of America local councils through the United States and its territories. Men who were Scouts in their youth for five or more years report being more satisfied with work and family life, and they place a greater value on family relationships and lifelong friendships. Former Scouts tend to earn higher incomes, achieve greater education levels and attended religious services more often than men who were never Scouts.
