Follow on Google News | Advice to Other Suffers of Canker Sores: Rinse with Peroxide and Don't Eat Too Much FruitBy: anc122 For those who don't know what a cancer sore is, they are small ulcers that can show up in your mouth. Your dentist should be able to explain exactly what a canker sore is and let you know if this is what your problem is. With canker sores, eating any type of food can be uncomfortable, especially spicy food and fruit. It can be especially uncomfortable if you eat or drink foods with a high acidic level. What I did not know until after speaking with my dentist, was that high acidic foods can actually cause a canker sore to appear. In my case, it took about a week and sometimes longer for the canker sore to go away. This can make it very difficult to talk and eat, which is frustrating. So what works for the pain? I have found that rinsing your mouth with salt water after eating is a good way to lower the pain factor. Unfortunately, this will not get rid of the canker sore any quicker, but it will help you to deal with your canker sores. I also found that watching what you eat is very important. I never realized that eating too much fruit can irritate your mouth, which, in my case always, led to a canker sore. Once I started doing this, I stopped having problems with canker sores. I also found it beneficial to continue rinsing with salt water after brushing your teeth. The main thing is to just be patient and work on preventing canker sores in the first place. Talking to your dentist is definitely a good idea if you get canker sores often. Your dentist will be able to recommend a treatment for you that may help. Your dentist may even be able to pinpoint the exact cause of your canker sore. After taking the advice of my dentist in my teenage years, I have never had to deal with painful canker sores.[visit: End
