By: Catholics Uncrossed The show hopes to strike a chord with the large population of Catholics in the Los Angeles area. Romeo and Yaffee are both products of Catholic school and stress the show is about celebrating the humor in Catholicism. “We’re not here to sugarcoat or bash Catholicism," Yaffee an LA native and 16 year stand-up veteran, has appeared on the Showtime comedy, Goin’ Native, as well as Comics Unleashed With Byron Allen. Romeo, originally from Detroit, is an actress turned comedian, who has appeared in numerous Sci-fi movies, including, Outbreak and Savage Streets. Appearing with them will be Ray Camacho, a comedian and Catholic deacon along with Marcella Arguello and Robert Duchaine. Despite its Catholic undertone, Yaffee and Romeo, stress the show is for all comedy fans. “We touch on Catholic topics and issues,” says Romeo, “but overall this is just a funny comedy show for anyone who likes to laugh.” Tickets are available for just $10 at the door.
