PHILADELPHIA - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- “Today, the city of Charleston, NC awakened to the paralyzing news that nine members of their community had been killed in a senseless act of violence. And as the families of those souls begin to mourn their passing, families are forced to deal with the sickening feeling of losing their loved ones. Those nine individuals are fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, taken too soon from the ones they loved the most.

And as I sit, in my own city of Philadelphia, PA, two words come to mind: "too often". Too often are our community members, politicians, family men, honorable and virtuous women gunned down in violence. And as debates commence on race and religion, the only conversation that this is evident is the need for healing and comfort for those families.

On behalf of my wife, April, our family and the entire body of concerned citizens at Stop The Frisk, our hearts and prayers are with the families and communities of these brave men and women. May the memory of their lives bring about a sense of peace to the ones that need it the most. I stand with you, Charleston. I pray with you, Charleston.

Please know, even in these most trying of times, you are not alone.”
