Hickey Smith Announces Addition of Thomas Lysaught as Legal Operations Partner

PASADENA, Calif. - June 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Hickey Smith LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas Lysaught has joined the firm as its Legal Operations Partner and a member of the executive committee.

With more than 27 years of experience managing liability claims in the insurance industry, Mr. Lysaught brings a proven legal and business track record to the firm. Recognized for consistently improving quality, client service, and operational performance, he has a keen understanding of how legal departments can work closely with law firms to enhance transparency, simplify management of outside counsel, and gain the actionable insight needed to enhance results.

Prior to joining Hickey Smith, Mr. Lysaught held a number of executive management roles in the commercial insurance claims industry, most recently as senior vice president of Liability Claims for Zurich North America. As an expert in claims and litigation management, his industry experience includes auto/transportation, environmental, general liability, and professional liability claims operations. He also has extensive experience managing high exposure liability claims operations.

In his role as legal operations partner at Hickey Smith, Mr. Lysaught will manage the firm’s global operations, including client service and satisfaction, staffing, performance management and training, workflow, and organizational planning. He will also head up the firm’s Chicago location.

Mr. Lysaught received Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from DePaul University along with his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
