William Michael Cunningham Invited to the Global Ethical Finance Forum

WASHINGTON - June 13, 2015 - PRLog -- William Michael Cunningham annouced the reciept of an invitation today to participate at the 1st Global Ethical Finance Forum (GEFF). "Officially hosted by the Scottish Government and strategically supported by the Islamic Finance Council UK (UKIFC), the forum will be held on September 1-2, 2015, at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, Scotland. At the conclusion, the participants will be greeted by an exclusive reception at Edinburgh Castle by Humza Yousaf MSP, Minister for Europe and International  Development, on the 2^nd of September."

As the invitation noted, "the socially responsible financial industry with ethics and morality at the core, has contributed..to sustainable economic development and has witnessed an increased interest by the global financial community in the aftermath of the financial crisis."

Others have noted the need for convergance among the various sectors of socially responsible investing. While these sectors share a philosophy focused on social return, they are diffrentiated geographically. Conference organizers have cited "enhanced growth opportunities" and "a greater need to converge the socially responsible financial industry. The 1st Global Ethical Finance Forum, under the theme of “Growing the Global Ethical Finance Industry through Collaboration and Convergence,” will aim to bring these various segments together to discuss opportunities that will arise from collaboration within the industry."

Mr. Cunningham will "participate in the 1st Global Ethical Finance Forum as a panelist in the session titled 'The Role of Technology and Disruptive Innovation to Facilitate Responsible Finance'. This session is scheduled from 15.00 to 16.00 on the 2nd of September, 2015."
