CHICAGO - June 12, 2015 - PRLog -- On Sunday, June 28th, in Chicago, Patient Power and LUNGevity will hold a free in-person town meeting at The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University—one of only 41 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer—where you and your loved one can hear the latest in treatment and research from leading lung cancer experts.

With the first immune-based therapy approved for lung cancer, for patients and their care partners, digesting the science behind the approval of new therapies can be challenging. Still, job #1 remains—beating the cancer, and, fortunately, more tools are available to help us accomplish that. But what does the latest treatment news mean for patients with various subsets of lung cancer? How about second-line and third-line treatment options? How can side effects for some patients be better managed? Is supportive care therapy right for me?
