Dads and Daughters Learn Natural Hair Care Techniques at the Pizza & Ponytail Workshop

COLUMBUS, Ohio - June 3, 2015 - PRLog -- June 3, 2015 --Columbus, Ohio -- On June 13th at Synergi Salon in East Columbus dads from all over the city will gather with their young daughters to learn a little more about loving and caring for their beautiful, curly hair. The Pizza & Ponytail Workshop, sponsored by Synergi Salon and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., is for fathers who want to learn the basics in styling their daughters' hair. Designed with dads in mind, attendees will learn simple brush, twist and braiding techniques for curly hair. Stylists will also cover tips for swimming, sleep protection and manageability. Each daughter with a registered parent/caretaker receives a goodie bag with wand, crown and hair accessory. Also, specially priced signature Synergi Salon product kits will be available during the event. “This is going to be a great event for dads and their daughters,” Karen Gary, Synergi Salon owner said. “Not only do they get to spend quality time together, but they, and their daughters, learn more about how to care for their hair. Knowing how to do your child’s hair is not just a mom thing, it’s a parent thing and dads really want to be involved in this area, they just need a little help on the hows.”

Synergi Salon has hosted Princess Parties before, but this is the first Princess Party to specifically for dads.

“I’m so happy Anthony Alston of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., reached out to collaborate,” Gary said. “This is the kind of community outreach that puts what we know how to do with what our neighbors need.”
