| Dads and Daughters Learn Natural Hair Care Techniques at the Pizza & Ponytail WorkshopSynergi Salon, premier Columbus salon and historic Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., sponors one of a kind event for local dads who want to spend beauty and quality time with their daughters on June 13, 2015.
By: Synergi salon “This is going to be a great event for dads and their daughters,” Karen Gary, Synergi Salon owner said. “Not only do they get to spend quality time together, but they, and their daughters, learn more about how to care for their hair. Knowing how to do your child’s hair is not just a mom thing, it’s a parent thing and dads really want to be involved in this area, they just need a little help on the hows.” Synergi Salon has hosted Princess Parties before, but this is the first Princess Party to specifically for dads. “I’m so happy Anthony Alston of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., reached out to collaborate,” The Pizza & Ponytails Workshop for dads and daughters ages 7 and up takes place June 13, 2015 at Synergi Salon [3443 E. The founders were three Howard University undergraduates, -- Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper and Frank Coleman. Joining them was their faculty adviser, Dr. Ernest Everett Just. +Founded June 1, 1945, The Mu Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi was formed for graduate brothers to strengthen and preserve the Omega tradition and ideals. These ideals, recognized as Cardinal Principles by the fraternity, are Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. +Mu Iota Chapter has enjoyed the privilege of being an influential factor throughout the Columbus Community over the years. Brothers have had a noticeable presence in the public school system. For over twenty-five years the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mu Iota Chapter Scholarship Golf Tournament has provided over $100,000 to graduating high school students going to college.
