Follow on Google News | Novotus survey reports Texas adds most jobs in 2014By: Novotus Human resource leaders were surveyed and 73.1% responded that it is harder to recruit talent now than it was a year ago. That percentage is slightly lower than in 2014, but still indicates Texas employers are finding it difficult to hire high quality talent quickly. The amount of offers being rejected is also an indication that hiring is harder now than it was a year ago. HR leaders responded that 28.6% of offers are being turned down in 2015, compared to only 20.8%. “The competition for quality talent continues to increase each year,” said Novotus founder and CEO Mike Mayeux. “Companies that want to excel must understand the complexity of talent acquisition and invest in a long term strategy to hire and retain the talent needed to sustain growth. We are approaching a unique paradigm shift where companies will see growth limited as a direct result of an inability to source, recruit, hire and retain the talent needed. I believe we will see this happen within the next decade. Companies that recognize this are placing emphasis on this area and are trying to stay ahead of this likely shift.” In an effort to stay ahead of the competition, some companies have started to raise salaries offered to find the right candidates. This year 65.6% of companies surveyed are increasing pay to fill their open positions, which was a significant increase compared to only 57.8% in 2014. “Often companies don’t know where to begin to assess their current talent acquisition efforts. Given the challenges for employers in the state we believe Novotus adds tremendous value by partnering with companies to evaluate their current recruiting organization, determine gaps and identify opportunities for improvement,” Download the full 2015 Texas Employment Outlook Report (http://novotus.com/ Get a copy of the 2014 Texas Employment Outlook Report (http://novotus.com/ End
