Door Renew Announces Convention Date

National door restoration franchise prepares for national convention

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - April 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Door Renew, the nation’s largest door restoration franchise, has announced the dates for its 2016 convention. Franchisee owners from across the country will attend the convention, designed to help them run their business more effectively. The 3-day event will be held January 8-10, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“Convention is an outstanding event,” said vice president John Eggenberger. “It’s a great time to review the past year and focus in on the coming door season.” John explained that a convention in early January interferes with day-to-day operations the least. When asked about the content of the convention Eggenberger explained that there are three areas of focus. “First, we focus on the business side of things. We’ll look at 2015 and analyze the business metrics in a way that makes sense to all the franchisees. This includes financial performance as well as marketing results. When you’re running a business you often don’t take the time for such analysis. During convention you’re forced to and it’s always a very useful exercise. Secondly we’ll look at operations. The industry is always coming up with new and better products that can help both franchisees and the homeowners we service. We’ve been testing a new line of products that we plan to roll out at convention so everyone can experience them. Finally, convention is a time to get acquainted with other franchise owners and re-charge your batteries. Everyone there is doing what you’re doing, experiencing the same challenges and enjoying the same successes. It’s a great time to be encouraged by fellow franchisees. I always tell franchisees that if you pick up one or two tips from a fellow owner that you can implement in your business on Monday morning then the convention was worth it.”

With the date in place final arrangements are being made on the venue. “Right now we’re looking at the Sharonville Convention Center, http://sharonvilleconventioncenter.com/,  and another facility in nearby Reading, http://readingohiochamber.org/,” said John. “We’ve decided to avoid the downtown area, at least this year, and hold the event in a smaller community like the ones we service.”
